With Scan2Seafile, you can scan your documents on the university's multifunction devices and send them directly to Seafile.
Seafile is a central sync-and-share platform for students and employees in Rhineland-Palatinate. You can easily and securely manage your data and share it with other users. The files are stored on the university's own servers and not with third-party providers.
Requirements
- You need a JGU account and a personal print and copy account.
- Scan2Seafile is not available for multi-user cards.
Advantages
- You can conveniently move files to your Seafile library and synchronize them on your mobile devices.
- You can scan documents that are too large to send by email.
Using Scan2Seafile
- Log in to the device and place the document in the feeder or on the document glass.
- Select Scannen and then Scan to Seafile.
- You will then receive an email with a link to Seafile (this may take up to 5 minutes).
- Click the link in the email, then click Herunterladen.
- If you are already logged in to Seafile, you will also see the option Speichern unter.
- Click Speichern unter to move your document directly to your Seafile directory.
