Testsystem: FileSender

FileSender is a web application that allows authenticated users to send large files to other people securely and easily, or to request files from them. FileSender was developed specifically for the needs of universities and research institutions. In addition, a password can be used for end-to-end encryption.

Unlike cloud storage services such as Dropbox, FileSender is a pure data transfer service: files are made available for a limited period of time and then automatically deleted. This makes it convenient to transfer large volumes of data – such as research data, videos, or measurement series – to internal and external recipients, without requiring them to have a JGU account.

Possible uses Secure sending and receiving of large files (typically up to several GB per transfer) – e.g. for research data, videos, or measurement series.
Who is it for? JGU staff and students who want to transfer large files to internal or external recipients or request files from them.
