Including Videos

You can include videos stored on JGU's Panopto video platform in your LimeSurvey surveys. Your advantage: Your videos will be stored only on the university's servers and not with any third-party providers.

    2. Go to the settings for that video and select Outputs from the menu on the left.
    3. Right click on View Podcast and select Get Link.
    4. Now go to Limesurvey and create your survey. At the point where you want to embed the video, click on the video icon.
Display of the video icon in your survey.

5.Copy the cached link into the Source Video box using Ctrl+V and confirm with OK. There is no need to change the default settings.

Copy the link into the input field Source video.

6.The video is at the desired location in your survey and can be played by your respondents.

Deleting Surveys

Old surveys that are no longer used increase the amount of data.  Also because of data issues surveys should not remain on the server longer than necessary. Therefore, since winter semester 21/22, surveys will not be kept longer than 1 year.

Delete Surveys that are no longer Needed

  1. Log in at: https://survey.zdv.uni-mainz.de/index.php/admin/authentication/sa/login
